Yah-nee-see

He tells me That his mother says my name when she looks into your eyes And that you've been losing sleep, my face haunts you late at night Each time he seeks my touch your walls, they sympathize For if you had the power, you would change your name to mine Consequences, inevitable the moment you decide To swallow your insecurities, fall into that disguise Integrity is lost once you realize The name is quite uncommon, engrained into their minds The feelings that I gave him, still desperate to define You reap as you sow, the reason that you hide Is that before the betrayal, you were a friend of mine Before he was yours, attached to my side A boy who would kill for a second of my time So despite the facade, you would put up a shrine With my face in the middle, you cannot deny You beg him to see you, though he lies by your side Praying to the skies to consider your bribe For some time in my flesh, so he may comply I bet all of your possessions and mine intertwined Grieving the triumph, remaining supine Desperate to find a way your love will suffice Only if one day, You change your name to mine
