Write With Your Heart: 12 Lines
The darkness had begun to take hold,
Consuming my inner self, I'm told.
Then through the darkness I start to glow,
With little steps, I'm taking it slow.
I break free of the darkness inside of me,
And use my past to help others feel free.
Shining through all the pain and lies,
Shedding myself of fasad and disguise.
Aware, at some level, I will shine bright,
Stand out through the darkness, and give off light.
