Working

Working Don’t like working ‘Cause it’s really such a bore. Don’t like meeting deadlines, ‘Cause they’re really such a chore. Don’t like attending meetings all day long, Since you just sit and talk for hours in a stuffy, dark room. Don’t like pitching in and helping others with their tasks, When I could be outside smelling the spring flowers bloom. Don’t like having a boss Since they’re always nitpicking and in your face. Don’t like following a dress code And having to wear a tie and carry a briefcase. Don’t like working overtime, Since working past five I definitely deplore. Don’t like dealing with people since they can be quite annoying, Especially when they ask silly questions that I would much prefer to ignore. So now that my interview is over and I’ve had my say, Do I start the job tomorrow or today?

Hmm, with all those “don’t likes” you have, maybe any job is not for you. But the last line is like a punch line that makes all the previous lines mockingly funny. Nice.
