What Poetry Means(From An Amateur's Point of View)

Touching Life through Poetic Nature of Beauty in words around me Taking this rhyme scheme to another level of what Poets are all about It is not showing off of the purest writing that all of us can do Some days we may be in touch with our muse But,of other times, there may be a temporary blockage within our hands and mind Forums that are dedicated to Poets and their artistic expression constitute why many of us are attracted to this style of writing,in the first place We can be free to paint, describe not in watercolor But..in words that are just as relevent as the paintings of Monet Freedom without being overly judged by professional opinions from many Auteurs(in Film and in Book form)who strive to archieve a status quo among themselves and feel superior to others,in every way I may call myself a Poet but only a humble one This ability to express is no more or less than the rest of the Poetic race The only way to be truly Happy as a writer or Poet is to be thankful for what you and I have and just leave it at that In the final analysis.. that is what being gifted is all about
