Two Loving Cousins-F

I have cousins from whom there lies a precious memory. They both are older than me, and years ago while I was still a little boy, the two of them tucked me in on Saturday nights after several hours of great entertainment and fun. Back then, I knew them as 'Honey Child and Tiny'. There was a season when my father often took my brother and me to his sister's home on Saturday nights where we were well cared for and kept secure. On occasions, I get pleasant flashbacks of them and the loving moments they shared with us when it came time for bed. Feeling security required more than blankets and a warm house. These young ladies knew something about love. They were children themselves, but deeply endowed with selflessness. I don't know if my dad knew how caring and tender his two nieces were, and he did not live long enough for me to share this story with him; but I will always believe that daddy knew how and where to build a legacy. I remember, now at least 65 years ago, the love and tenderness of my two cousins, Honey Child and Tiny. In a telephone conversation some 17 years ago, as we conversed about 'family', I could not agree more when Honey Child said to me, "We came from good stock". 061521PS
