Twinkle Eye

TWINKLING EYE With a twinkle in his eye he nodded towards the bed. 'not tonight dear' I replied, 'I have an aching head.' Then I kept him very busy with chores to bring delay hoping he'd be so tired he'd sleep the night away. But he took a hot shower let cold water pass him by, then emerged invigorated with a twinkle in his eye. I really had an aching head on Panadol I had to rely once the headache disappeared mine was the twinkling eye. Dressed in a silky negligee I waited for him to reply but he was snoring loudly the twinkle had left his eye. Copyright © Vivien Wade April 9, 2016

Pleased you found it entertaining. I'm new to poetrysoup and didn't understand what you meant by posting it so late. I have lots of poems and just pick ones at random. I also have 2 books of poetry printed. 'Bunches of blessings' and Chocolates and chuckles'. Blessings, Vivien
