Transfusion

I visited the Met* today And came to this conclusion – My spirits were revived as if I’d had a blood transfusion. For two long years I’ve stayed away And all of my seclusion Has weighed me down and filled me with The sadness of exclusion. But walking through the galleries, Enjoying my inclusion, I feel prepared to join the world And shed my disillusion. *Metropolitan Museum of Art

Hawai'i's State Library just opened, so bibliophiles can also enjoy the Met! Enjoyed, Ilene! Stay healthy and keep writing! Aloha!

Excellent Ilene. I would change the word my to "my self" in the last line though to keep the rhythm. Check out my newest post "NOT" if you get a chance. I like how your poetry's going. Different than mine and very educational to me. Love your work. Some great ideas and patterns I haven't seen. Keep up the good work. Trevor

With everything opening up it's as if we have come alive again. Be great to start having some normality in our lives even if we have to still wear a mask in some places. Tom
