The Season's Still Young, But --

For the last six years, they were an exciting team
They gave fans a championship, a reason to scream
With strong starting pitching, power hitters galore
Come the ninth inning, the Cubs were ahead in the score

But time marches on, little changes are made
A hitter gets traded, a pitcher starts to fade
Management turns over, players get lazy
Their lazer-like focus off-kilter and hazy

This year's season's still young
There's a long way to go
But the way Chicago's Cubs are playing
  They're our 'Loveable Losers' again
~ whom too well we all know

Hello Gershon ... it's the same the world over with professional sport. Kids are left heartbroken by their idols changing clubs for more money - thanks Gershon - Lindsay

Don't give up on your Cubbies, Gershon. Our Colorado Rockies are struggling as well. They gave up some of their key players like Arenado and that I don't understand at all. Bob

I used to live 5 blocks from Cubs Park.. Never attended a game. The Cubs have pleny of Chitzpah... Working man's team? That's a good one. It costs a lot to attend games from what I know.....do we have to label teams with political gibberish? I just like them..,win or lose. But the MLB going WOKe in B.S. Pangie xx

Cubs games cost more than a new car used to. New car costs more than a new house used to. And so it goes...

I actually am a White Sox fan. Not happy with the Renteria firing and the LaRussa hiring. They've lost the chemistry they had last year. Will they regain it? We'll see... As for the Chubs. Phooey.
