The Hypocritical Cop

The Hypocritical Cop By Elton Camp The cop stalked indignantly to the car “Now just who do you think you are!” “I saw you daring to send a text. For a ticket and fine, you’re next.” “Safety is the most important concern. When, good sense, will you ever learn!” “For there is no excuse good enough To be doing such dangerous stuff.” He then drove away and didn’t stop As he keyed into his cruiser laptop Used radio, radar and dash camera too His eyes off the road these things to do From his sacred mission he’ll not swerve He’ll piously recite “To protect and serve” (I am opposed to texting while driving because it is extremely dangerous. This is just a humor poem.)
