T-Test

If you compare two things alike
Just like two mountains where you hike
Don't go immediately to peer
If bases are so far or near
First try to see their heights and slopes
The mound-shaped ones are all we hope
Next find their curves — are they the same?
The steeper ones aren't for the lame!
If all of the above are good
Then find the mean and not the mode
Compute the distances between
Two centers whilst their spreads ain't seen
Divide this distance by the "pooled"--
But in reality we're fooled--
A standard dev Welch did revise
With DF sum of both less twice
