Crocus, Flowers, Bloom, Yellow, Spring

It’s safe to say that winter is now gone and all can sing the sweetly vernal song that comes when Earth moves closer to the sun and wakens life within the breasts of some. How lovely is the April kiss of rain that lightly dances on the window pane! Coloring everything in verdant dreams, it washes winter blues away in streams. How wonderful is wind that’s warm and soft and birds that build their nests in trees aloft! Crocuses lift their heads and proudly sing a song of jubilation that’s called Spring. Inside our hearts we must stir life anew, thankful for a sky that’s crystal blue, with time to just enjoy the beauty of Spring, a season most folks love. 5/2/20

Congratulations Janis! Your poem earned a distinguished place in my contest. This contest was bittersweet because it reminded me of all the things I’m missing out on this spring, well done my friend.
