Spend
l like to make a challenge
to start a brand new year
so l'll make my bank now balance
l'll live free and less in fear
l got my pen and paper
a list l start to make
it's a must to get me braver
but eat, l want the cake
So down the list l go
2ft long l'd say at least
and little did l know it
there's more that l had missed
No more makeup, clothes or perfume
l shed a little tear
but de-clutter all the bathroom
but it doesn't stop the fear
No more hobbies, books or music
and the list is still not done
panic starting, feeling sicker
as i'm losing all my fun
l do so like a challenge
but this is taking it much too far
it's making me feel stressed and damaged
slap up meal, get in the car.
I'm very proud to say
l did better than last year
l managed it for one day
'No Spend Year'
l'll never learn
p s; this is just a humor rhyme, i'm known as a frugal queen as we have no car, mortgage free and bought our little cottage in the countryside outright 7 years ago. l hate spending money lol.
