Winter won't submit to the whims of Spring, constantly feathering the ground with snow; burying any green shoots that dare show. There are signs that Spring is scheduled to show, but this inclement weather sure isn't Spring; Winter winds howl in a blizzard of snow. The trees with their frozen feet in the snow are disgruntled with Winter's prolonged show; shivering in the wind, they await Spring. Melting snow signals Spring's about to show.
