Work was the storm on which this affection rode in
A smirk soon to be metamorphed into grin
And at first all we wanted was to biblically sin
But then it began to begin from within and you vaulted
From horizontal friend
To causing me to mend those tendrils and fibers that keep the life fire higher
Taller than the locks of love on Fred Dryer
I know that's kinda silly
But that's what I'm talking about
Cuz speaking religiously, to the church of Ruckus I know you'll always be devout
I've never felt so comfy being claimed by another
Spending time in your presence has never been a bother
A I yurn to use this love gun to turn you into cannon fodder
I know that I never have to try and impress you
Or shower you with jewelry
Or buy you a dress or two
And it's precisely those facts and the silly way you act
That, so be it, if you asked for the world
I'd hurl myself into the dogmatic whirlpool
To the hilt I would plunge again and again
Each beautiful lunge fueled by the thoughts and visions of you
Sitting in your throne room, you know, the one with the view
Wear we are and more weary we will get
This world is mucky and people are ****
But your beacon has risen out of the mire
Like heated air it wafts higher and higher
I caught a single wiff and it lit a mental chemical fire
Let's burn a couple down and traipse through a forest
We'll be hearing people say "Those bastards are glorious"
Maybe we'll be rappers like Pac and Notorious
But whatever the endeavor it it doesn't make a difference
Because side by side we can hurdle any fence
