Responsibility for our actions
(Synergy and magic)

We fight over land
We fight over sea
We fight over resources
As we deplete them
We claim sovereignty
We draw lines and maps
We think we are separate
Because of our flags
Yet, no one seems to realise
That we own nothing on Earth
We delude ourselves
And destroy Nature's hearth
Most of what we claim
Never was ours to begin with
All the sacrifice and discord
Instead of synergy and magic
Mother Earth needs our help
She needs our love and resolve
To heal her soil and her oceans
To heal her essence and her heart
We must save our flora and fauna
Cleanse our air and our waters
We are responsible for our actions
We are responsible for the future
When our bees die, our future is curtailed
When our forests are gone, our lungs will gasp
When our food is depleted, we will perish
Unless we work together, we won't last
We fight over land
We fight over sea
We fight with each other
Over resources and means
It somehow never cognitively registers
That we are killing ourselves
With every war and strife
With all our pesticides and plastic waste
We claim sovereignty
We draw lines and maps
But nowhere do we draw
Responsibility for our actions
