Something other than my heart Told me to listen, to hear – then start Writing the joy, the peace, the light Prayers that reveal the stars of night Shining quietly, up in the skies Assuring me of love’s sweet surprise Something quiet, gentle and flowing Revealing love’s tender glowing Comforting hearts with night’s song Breaking through the shadows so wrong Awakening the moon with her guitar As the sun sits to write her memoir Something abides inside my soul Clinging to hope that I’ll be made whole While the silence feeds me serenity Beyond the secret of life, heart’s amenity Graceful and wild, the sea succumbs In a world of darkness, love’s voice overcomes Something wild, free and blessed Beyond the seas there is love confessed Silencing all the doubts that might dissuade Sending my heart assurance to persuade God in His heaven reaches down to amaze Quieting my soul with His grace as I praise
