That is eerie Heidi, that derailment has a lot to answer for. Tom

It is very eerie. I also just posted a photo of the black leaves from acid rain today with Haiku. They are digging up burn pits there and people are getting more sick.

Wishing they would return soon. Hoping for a better summer season in your realms.

Thank you Vijay. No daily Chipmunk or Woodpecker. Less other birds. Hummingbirds more regular - I make the food. I didn't realize the difference dealing with lack of wildlife , until I dealt with it now for the 1st time. I appreciate your positive input, my friend. I hope all is well and the rest of your day is nice :)

With masterful use of language and vivid imagery, this haiku captures the serene stillness of the forest. The absence of any sounds of construction or woodpeckers highlights the peacefulness of the scene, yet the silent tears suggest a deeper emotional resonance within the setting.

Thank you for your insightful, kind feedback. Quietness is nice, but lack of usual daily wildlife is very difficult. Silence can be peaceful, yet it can also be eerie. I have not experienced lack of wildlife before. The chipmunks usually scurry around daily too, but they didn't make it out of their holes in the ground this spring. We had a toxin issue in winter snow. I appreciate your visit and support. I hope all is well. Take care :)
