Howls
Howls
The wolf howls
An innocent, painful cry
Mocking the lamb
Soft is it’s wool
Grass is in its mouth
Deception in its eyes
Lies, despised
Cold as winter’s snow
It’s colors shall come to light
Straw, stick and brick
It sought the three little pigs
Pink, bubble gum is its shade
Plump ,jelly and merry are they
It eats the still beating heart
A cruel , evil feast
The earth rumbles
Ear and nostril open
With suspicion
Threatened
By beast on land
And avalanche
The young wolf
Scavenges alone
A prey to the pack already formed
It’s granddad, leader of its pack
Taken down and eaten
Eat, play and groom claimed its youth
Now it must hunt
Amongst an established bunch
Territory already claimed
Mom too weak to catch game
Black coated wolf ,noticeable
The others gray and white, inseparable
A mating call leaves him a lone soul
A single duck or geese
Is quite enough
A larger catch
It is unmatched
For the prey will surely strike back
On this one on one match
It heads for the road and hides
As others fear to die
Disease has laid its pups down
The small pack is frail
Spring comes
Four turns to twelve
A mighty pack emerges
To claim terrain
