Good Riddance

"GOOD RIDDANCE!" I'll have to make some changes Things will never be the same What you did touched me There's no one else to blame What you did was unforgivable The time we used to share I've given up being the victim And you don't even care A tiger can't change it's stripes You'll take your guilt to the ground As the dirt covers your face Two words can bring me round “YOU'RE GONE” I look into the mirror I see no happiness All the love I gave you Has turned to emptiness The love I gave has fallen The time we used to share You've left me here believing In love that wasn't there Changes, growing older Root myself to the ground Word to the wise - You got what's coming Two words can bring me round “YOU'RE GONE” Last I looked in your eyes all I saw was foul There's just no way to save it now And everything I felt Changes For some reason you're questioning why I always believed it gets better One difference between you and I Your guilt is inside your head One word for you One word by me A clear design on my liberty When your deed was done Who would believe in me How do I move on like everyone The boy was such a trusting fool Trusting your sick and jealous heart I'll have to make some changes How will I, my life to chart Root myself to the ground Capitalize on this misfortune Two words can bring me round “YOU'RE GONE” One road leads to loneliness It's always the same One road leads to happiness It's calling my name You misused my love and trust Mental pain, from selfish abuse You destroyed a happy childhood My trust and love you misused Word to the wise - Well you got what's coming Six words - Six words can bring me round “YOU'RE DEAD AND GONE, GOOD RIDDANCE!” BP: 2016
