Gishs Wish
My goldfish Gish, made a wish
he wished to be a “dishy” fish.
He wanted so to gorgeous be;
he is more colorful than a flea.
And so, I bought him a tiny mirror
so he could see that he was in error.
A Japanese goldfish of great color,
more vibrant orange than any other.
Gish has these lovely pearly spots
boring colors, he is not!
With spots of orange, red and yellow;
he’s a dapper little fellow.
Gish was convinced, he was not fine
but, what he saw, was so sublime.
All Gish needed was a mirror boost;
now he feels so very spruced.
So if your goldfish, wants to be a dish,
tell him to make a little wish.
Plop down a mirror, beside his bowl;
and a majestic vision, he’ll behold.
