Forbidden Fruit

Forbidden Fruit

The thought of you leaves me breathless,
but unable am I to see you,
or to caress you,
for as tainted fruit,
our bond is forbidden.

My heart has been sliced
into two pieces,
one still attached,
and the other
lost,
abandoned,
grieving,
seeking the missing piece
within your own,
allowing me

breath..

Each one of your tears
which leaves your cheek
falls upon my own,
awaiting below
in sorrow's wrath.

Wasted love
is as an infant
seperated from their Mother,
unable,
yet needing,
immediate devotion.

Dream of me tonight,
my love,
and I of you,
for it is only then
when two hungering lovers
can be permitted to deceive
the hand of fate.

Why, dear God, why,
are we apart ;
tell me

I beg you..
