Fluffy Clouds

Why are all the fluffy clouds high up in the sky?
I know I’ll never own one however hard I try.
They could surely be my pillow, upon which to rest my head
Maybe I’d have two of them, to lay upon my bed.

Oh why can’t I just reach up and grab one for myself?
Why are they not in the shops, stacked upon the shelf?
I pray that when I sleep the angels might descend
Delivering some clouds for me and my best friend.

I look up to the heavens in the hope that I might see
A fluffy little cloud, just big enough for me,
I kneel beside my bed and close my eyes real tight
Wishing very hard that a cloud floats in tonight.
