Ficus Benjamina
Oh my dear Ficus Benjamina tree...
Your lovely limbs have harbored me from sun.
We picnic on the green grass in your shade
And watch our grandkids play so gleefully.
I can remember when you were so small,
My children too shared joy beneath your shade,
With lemonade and hot dogs we had fun.
This holiday floods mem'ries of it all.
Our lovely park that overlooks the bay
Where I went biking in my youthful times,
As we both grow old, let my mind still keep
The secrets that we shared each golden day.
