The sky, colored all shades of grey, blocks out searing rays of sunlight. And as clouds start cooling the day, sprinkles bring a welcome delight. A splashing sound quenches the ground. Droplets freckle the dirt with spots, where the thirsty soil absorbs them. And drops, drumming on roofs and pots, frighten the dogs, causing mayhem. A little rain can entertain. Nature loves taking a shower; for it makes everything look clean. And every tree, bush, and flower tends to gleam with a misty sheen. Raindrops aren't tears, nor liquid spears. Showers summon a cooling mist as tumbling drops moisten the sky. And your wet skin feels freshly kissed, instead of sweaty, hot, and dry. So, don't complain: enjoy the rain!
