Dance the Dances
“Little dancer, dance, like winged stars.” ~~Percy Bysshe Shelley ~~
You exemplify every graceful ballet dancer.
How so incredibly perfect? There is no answer.
Like a feather floating in a summer breeze.
You captivate the audience with ease.
Like a flickering candle flame, you’re on your toes.
Such strength you possess to hold that pose.
Pretty flamingo do your dance.
Using your energy and passion to enhance.
Fragile as a butterfly in flight.
Or a falling snowflake at night.
Fluid as water in a stream.
You will be the subject of my dream.
Delicate as a humming bird reaching for a flower.
In your tiny figure you have such power.
You dance the dance of love to a melodic tune.
Like dancing on shafts of light from the moon.
