Journey Journal Page CHRISTMAS — BOXING DAY 2024 By Leon Enriquez Here on this good earth A story draws near A tale of wise mirth To usher good cheer A touch of true peace In a world of strife Sad hurts in this life Blessing of new lease As true love draws near In a sacred birth Of faith and hope here Of goodwill on earth ~~~~~~~~~ When gloomy times trip Dreary moments here Watch as love moves grip In a tryst of cheer As hope reveals truth In deep mystery Just for you and me True genius brings proof As joy draws hope dear Where faith and hope grip Love to purge all fear In a lovely trip ~~~~~~~~~ Feel the love that comes With the light of grace Sing deep hymn and psalm Sense fond soul embrace Love has come again To uplift being In a becoming Of joy’s happy strains Now here face to face Greet the divine calm That heals time and space As pure Spirit comes ~~~~~~~~~ Feel deep mystic pulse Whispers in each soul Change of raw impulse A touch to make whole The vicious old world Lost in mortal craze To transcend this maze Beyond our sad swirls To rise above poles Sense beyond impulse Middle way sparks whole Poise and play and pulse ~~~~~~~~~ Feel a voice that calls Clear as a fond sigh That cleanses our gall To a mystic high A path of light shows Gives sight to the blind In a new design A path of life grows As miracles ply To each and to all In a glorious cry As mystery calls ~~~~~~~~~ Feel the Christmas feel As Spirit moves change Think upon goodwill Re-model our range Love that conquers fear As waves of grace saves Sage and fool and knave To forge and endear Deep feeling so strange As thoughts of love heal Our odd broken range Refresh love we feel ~~~~~~~~~ Feel the grand re-birth For love recreates here Joy and peace on earth With a lasting cheer Think upon the light That casts out the dark To style a new spark Change our feeble sight As true love endears Reason for fresh mirth For goodwill and cheer A quest for new birth ~~~~~~~~~ Keep The Christ in mind As each moment flings In a mindful bind As your soul now sings Of joy and goodwill That keeps light in sight To honour soul flight In the way you feel As your trials now spring In your conscious mind In your own being Where love ever binds ~~~~~~~~~ Leon Enriquez 26 December 2024 Singapore
