Become An Up-Stander Not a By-Stander

Courage is to stand up for another
On social media,
To ask the coward to delete 
The mean
To not show the victim
For feelings might not crush
Or crucify her
If she is never told

Resist the urge to be cruel 
Or mean
Little bullies are
Usually tormented 
By big bullies 
Unseen

Do not go along
Be an up-stander
Retain your integrity
It may never
Be revealed how
Many you 
Will be 
Saving

You
Owe it 
To yourself
To be an up-stander
By-standers are often
The next target

I think some do but they stop there. The trick is the implementation.

So many think, it's not their business but, if they just tried they could help us all to change a part of the world. It truly begins with one voice. Well worded.

We have those posters all over school that say "stand up for what is right even if you are standing alone" but I think I am the only one who SPECIFICALLY teaches them the strategies to do this.
