Bards of Solitude

My sleep evaded by the rabble running through my head, I pull about my wrinkled sheets and scuttle out of bed. I sign upon the secret line to enter Poetry Soup, and once again, now wide awake, I’m back amongst the group. I find a bunch of early birds or night owls if you please that paint with words electric, then cast them to the breeze. They hang their souls like fresh washed clothes upon the wired line with hopes their message strikes a chord or plays upon the mind. They write for one another, or they write to speak their peace, and challenges are always made to help each one achieve. They often fight like cats and dogs as family members do because another didn’t see their brilliant point of view. But all in all, throughout the world they come here every day. I wish I had the time to read what each one had to say. They gather to express in thought their world within their words and fellow writers will assure that no one goes unheard. In wonder I indulge in words they cast into the air, inspired by the metaphors and similes they share. For here the Bards of Solitude can share their cyber-mind with those that understand this place and wish to share in kind.

Marvelous poetic take on life in the Soup. Yes, sometimes like cats and dogs we hiss and growl, but some of the poetry produced is as good as anything out there. Nice rhymes and beat Mark
