All we require

Life’s inflicted many a scar
From God’s light, we’ve drifted afar
Desire begets fear, fear desire
Love and light is all we require

We drift through life, as though we’re blind
Shifting goalposts befuddle mind
We’re caught up in ego’s quagmire
Love and light is all we require

Milestones attained have left soul stained
Trapped in desires, we’re by lust chained 
We’ve toiled all our life, now we tire
Love and light is all we require

Within heart rages a great fire
Love and light is all we require
