It's no sign of weakness, in fact, the reverse, It helps me stay balanced, brings rhyme to life's verse. The wise have no problem, the wicked think twice, A stick you can lean on can help break the ice, It's blind to your weakness; it's there when you call, What foe knows your training, or where stick might fall? Reversed stick finds moisture, the fount of all life, Sharp points skewer issues, help deal with what's rife, Like God's staff, it comforts, like His rod it leads (And helps me have faith in the sharing of needs.) Each path's blossoms picked are God's gift but my choice, Each act of my choosing my God-given voice.
