Dance of Fire
Flickering flames dance as nimble unclothed nymphs Effortlessly tangled as one hot coals thus edging them faster I the watcher of this wondrous catalytic conundrum of heat, Flame, fire, a glass of wine and a mood of passion sets in My imagination takes me to a village where tribesman are celebrating There fierce hunt planned for tomorrow. Adorned with nothing more than Berry juice and jolly socks around their intimate parts the men walk on hot coals Brash and fearless. Thrust foreward by some unforeseen adrenaline rush. And the women topless, skirts of course serve the men. Food, beverages, And cheer them through this extraordinary activity. They seemed to enjoy it. Again and again they raced through the hot coals. Not a scream or a tear. The Chief stood suddenly raising his long sharp spear and a calm swept over The entire village. “Now we must eat and drink and love one another, for the Gods will grant us much meat tomorrow.” He lowered his spear and went to the circle. The men followed and took their seats around the fire. The topless women come forward with food and buffalo milk to serve the men and they proceed to feast. And as the flames in my fire start to fade I see the villagers Sprawled out on the ground exhausted from their dance upon the coals. May your pain that you endured satisfy your Gods’ to help you hunt tomorrow.
