My Life, As Told By My Dog, Princess
My Life as told by my dog, Princess! I don’t remember how I was born, but all of a sudden I remember that I was alive I could smell, see and hear Somehow I ended up in a cage with two other puppies I was happy, but I loved it when people came by and I was let out to play with them Then one day, a nice lady came in She must have been my mommy because she smiled at me, played with me and petted me and put me into a big travel case I came to her home and she let me out and I was free She hugged and kissed me and I licked her all over the face Then, she gave me food and water and I loved eating it and drinking it Later, she put me in a huge cage on a soft comfy dog bed I was upset that I couldn’t be out, but she came back the following day and let me out We played again and she continued to kiss and hug me One day, we went outside for a walk I was so happy, but I couldn’t walk down the stairs Mommy picked me up and helped me downstairs I found some grass and did my business there It was so nice outside; the air was fresh and there were a lot of nice scents around Afterwards, we came home and I lapped up some water Later, mommy put me in a big cage again and I slept on my dog bed One day, when I was playing on the floor, mommy called me “Princess” She kept saying that word. I looked up at her and realized that was my name. So every time Mom said, “Princess”, I came by to see what she wanted One day, mommy decided I didn’t need the cage anymore and I just slept on my bed on the floor I liked being on the couch with mommy, but I couldn’t climb up onto it Mommy usually helped me When I got bigger, I started jumping up on the couch and liked sleeping there The couch was comfortable, but I liked being with mommy in her room At night, I would sit by mommy’s door and wait for her to come and get me She would open the door, look at my sad eyes and put me back on the couch Then, one day she didn’t! She let me stay on her bed I was so happy. I loved the nice, big, soft bed. I was so comfortable, safe and content. All throughout my life, mommy did things that I loved She petted and scratched me, she rubbed my tummy, she gave me delicious food and treats to eat and took me for walks I don’t know how I got here or why, but all I know is that I’m the most loved dog ever! I love my mommy and she loves me. I can’t wait until mommy gets home at night, so we could laugh, love and play. I’m glad for this life!
