Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required With a smile on my face When cheeks turn red The most beautiful eyes I tone down my voice I look him straight into his eyes With no fear, no doubt or agony I held his hands He responds with a gentle squeeze Pulling me closely as he waits I rap my hands around his neck I draw deep on His thoughts Trying to figure out where he might be Surprisingly I found nothing Threw my eyes away for a sec Then back at his Taking my time I told him, he didn't seem surprised But he wanted to know if I meant it Repeatedly asked if I was sure With confidence I responded The eyes were looking at him With no shame I held his hands My eyes were full of tears he couldn't see My hands were shaking But he couldn't sense The make up smile That he couldn't see past Where was my humanity My morals and principles Where was my integrity My standard and class Where was my loyalty My Care and respect Where was my truth My trust and faith Where was this love I had just told him about I admitted to a truth a don't know I pleaded to a crime I wasn't a part of I witnessed a scene I've never seen I wrote a book I've never read I sang a song I never heard I stood there and told you I love you When in between my words Is betrayal and lies Confusion and hurt Guilt and regret.
