Rides the Gunfighter I
Into the sunset, rides the gunfighter. A man, who, for justice, will fight to the end. Today’s battle, it had, left him undaunted, but tonight’s battle is with an old friend. His battle, this night, is with old Roger Dunne, someone he had befriended, in his own past. Appears that old Dunne had stolen some money from a bank at Monterey Pass. The bank, it held funds for all the storeowners and savings for the homeowners of the small town. So, he accepted the offer the sheriff had made him and for old Dunne, he was looking to gun down. It was at Roy’s Saloon, that the doors then swung open, when all of a sudden Roger Dunne had walked in. There, at the bar, stood the gunfighter, waiting to draw his gun, for the fight to begin. Old Dunne, he had heard of the bounty that’s on him and quickly he noticed the gunfighter, the friend. But, he also knew that for money, no friendship could keep destiny from reaching its end. He called out his friend to come to the street where he thought, for his loot, he could stand a chance. But the gunfighter was too fast, as he drew upon him and he heard in the distance, the call, the last dance. So, the gunfighter now, his directive complete set forth to ride from this lonely town, until that day that comes, when another steps up to put the gunfighter six feet under ground.
