The night is long and lonely when it's just myself and I Sleep has gone travelling without even a goodbye Eyes shut but they're roaming the depths of my mind For all the thoughts and feelings you left behind There's a sunrise and a sunset at every last turn The image of your blue eyes continues to burn Searching for something to show me it's all real You are coming back though, that was the deal You've fallen again and you're falling right down I feel you in my stomach, I won't let you drown I find myself losing you like I do now and then The day or eve nightmare over and over again I'm wandering along to a sweet memory or two Waking me once again and pulling me through I've learnt that a broken heart continues to beat And I won't let this shattering bring me down from my feet This maze of twists and turns will finally end You'll be back home with me, never to reoffend Done with the past, only our future to explore And maybe even sleep will be my friend once more
