Our college daughter christened him Jack Daniels. Fitting. He's chewed our kitchen chairs into the trash. I don't blame him. I'm gentle with him. I think I understand him in a way. I guess in some ways he and I are opposite sides of the same coin. Emotionally frightened. Desperate to keep our people laughing and loving us and not beating us or sending us to our crates.
