I know a woman, we dined in ABQ I think just the once I remember the hot weather, the hot food the hot blues, and our dinner. I remember her. Today she's said she has "felt cold since" Tuesday. That's a day she thinks the country was "declared insane." She says she's "never cold." She might need now to remember that the warmth comes from Love, from connection. She might need now to remember that the heat comes from Action from constructiveness. - and so, I reach here to her with warmth, in Love, to offer a hot tip. Grieve, surf the cold, cold waves as they crash around...but wax your board, check the tide tables; surf the crashing cold, but study the breaks, sing to the seals, rise early. I don't know why a lady I met but once (I think) and who lives a continent away, in the arid vastness of New Mexico, would jibe to a surfing analogy but hey, that's me - it came, I typed, she'll read it? She says she's "never cold." She says she's "never cold." So, after the crashing, the submerging, the dampening of passions and dreams and plans... set about the task of Making things Hot again act, act, act, action, action, action. serve another, serve food, serve ideas, serve minds. These services will be the stoking of the inner fire and fire is a catalyst for change. Also, its nice to surf beside a beachside bonfire.
