I Wish
…I wish sometimes to erase these thoughts in my head to vanquish the night, the darkness, the loneliness but dawn always fades to dusk before the sun can rise …sometimes my wish is to be like you to laugh and smile and dance with life I’m sorry but I just can’t find the tempo to your drum, or play your fife …I wish sometimes I had not shared that day with you just you and I, so enchanting it was, so special, so new but your gentle beauty is forever a part of me now …sometimes I wish I’d never shown you my poems they opened my heart and soul for you to see the good and the bad and the complicated me …I wish sometimes I could run far away and leave the world to those who would be normal for I find it has little interest for the unique and unusual …my wish sometimes is to be a bright colored blue bird so I could float safely with the wind behind me and never fall but I guess a limpkin is what I’ll always be with my horrid screeching call …I wish sometimes you could see the real me but you have made it quite clear what you see, yet, I am who I am, please don’t ask me to be someone I could never be 10/18/2017
