Think Know Am
Bubbles of air Can’t you see Straight faced Documented memories Lies sprinkled on truths The misperception of dreams Nightmares haunting Sweaty screams Stare away I cannot change Wished to Once upon a time Shadows and light Toothless things bite Laughing it off Doesn’t mean it hurts Any Less Penniless Plenty stress Enough to go around Given from a “have not” Never stolen from the “Has Enough” Hug Cry Smile Shine Dance anyway Be unafraid too Making no sense Made you Sharing acronyms and analogies By the bucketfuls Been heartbroken and homeless Been beaten and broken Yet I shine brighter Out in the open My true smile no longer hides Still sometimes afraid to cry Because of the pain inside That repetitively punches My hearts face I work hard I play no games Always hardly serious Smiles hurt an acceptable pain I let it rain As water falls from the shower head I dry my face It’s how I shut it off Do you feel Like really really feel What’s your deepest fear Mines always real Hope never fades Met my angel And even she prays Mama will meet her some day And it’ll rain again Bring light to insane Sharing love’s unspoken name Daring to dream again Shocked by awe Heart open 24 hours
