Contentment
You are shouting your complains, While I'm screaming out of pain, you are taking things for granted, While I beg just to have it, One ,two, and three, I lived in a dilapidated shanty, Three, four and five, She was in white painted mansion, I had my group of friends, While she had tons of fans, I ride in a family tricycle, While she was in her car, Six and seven, I wish we were even, Eight, nine and ten, I wish her life was mine, I wish it was mine, until I heard her scream, Until I saw her tears, Until I felt her scars, She scream for those painful days, For those sleepless nights, For her unbearable fear, until she turn so voiceless, She always scream, I saw her tears, I felt the pain, I saw her soul, Her dark and lonely soul, I felt her scars, and knew her story, Her life was never easy, Her story was never happy, So I decided to stop hoping and wishing, I decided to stop wishing for her clothes, I decided to stop dreaming of her life, I decided to stop dreaming it was mine, Because the life I had? It was better than the life she was living, It was Happier than the life she was in, If Only I know the thought of contentment, Ans so I started to seek answers, About where to find contentment, About how to get it, To my mom,To my friends and to the priest, How can I ever be contented? And so they said, It was being grateful for what you had, Being thankful for what you do not have, Being prayerful for things to come, It is appreciating little things my dear, You may be shouting your complains, but again, and please my dear, think of those who scream because of pain, They may be taking their last breathe.
