A Romantic Meltdown
At no time did our lives ever bond; instead, we became a cacophony of confusion. I can't imagine why we assumed that surface and skin-deep beauty was enough to sustain a relationship. I suppose my first mistake was going against my better judgment. This resulted in the discovery of a heart that was empty and hollow. *This romantic meltdown took place only after repeated sequences of hysteria. Little did we realize that we were prime prospects for an appointment with a relational apocalypse. Perhaps in most cases we would have known better and declined any further engagements. However, in this case, we put blinders over our eyes, closed our minds, and allowed our heart's emotions to go full speed ahead like race cars on the Indianapolis speedway. We set in motion a kaleidoscope of circumstances that created our own nightmare. Yes, we knew better, but did it anyway . We pursued passionately with abandonment that which should never have begun. Never reading the signs, I was doomed to a perpetual and chaotic relationship. Too proud to end it, I became a clueless pretender, as our relationship spiraled out of control. 09182017 PS Contest, Eight Word Challenge 4, Hamilton, 3P *Fiction
