A Letter
Dear Rob: Time heals all wounds is a white lie Because I bleed a little everytime I cry Memories can't replace the human touch Sometimes it seems it's just too much Every drop from my eye, I question why Did he take you? No answer through vanquished sighs It's so hard to come to terms and understand What is the reason? What is the plan? I would have traded places with you in an instant It's a thought I've had that remains persistant No matter how hard I try to resist it Guilting myself is so damn insistent It's said you're in a better place, but I plead my case Pure greed indeed, I would rather see your face I would exchange 10 years of my life, for one day of yours Anguish engulfs me at times, not always behind closed doors I've gotten down on all fours screaming to the heavens and the sky WHY DID YOU TAKE HIM? HE DIDN'T DESERVE TO DIE. Brother.. it never gets better, so I write you a letter Putting my pain in words, we will always be tethered Love always Curtis
