I'M An Artist
Pretending I’m okay, and hiding behind not facing the truth. Using lies and distractions, to forget about my lost youth. Then getting home at last, just young enough. To unfortunately know, that I’m not young anymore. But they will all burn, am I wrong? Is this sad? Do the broken not deserve second chances? Because even bent and shattered and with pieces falling apart, my heart is still beating and it sounds so romantic. I long to feel longing, and for the place that I am missed. But it’s been black shadows and dark hallways, every day ever since. I have heard so much deceit, and chose to accept it as my own. Because there lies can keep me warm at night, make it feel just like home. So for, so long we go, here and so alone, but just for now. I’m really not okay, but it’s the only way I know how. Keep going, keep pushing, keep it up till the end. Then say my name twice, when I need my one friend.
