Like Deja Vu
Early in the morning , she passed by me My heart despondent with her allure smile, She is naturally dismayed A doddering newspaper on the floor captures her distinct eyes, For a few seconds , like a scholar ,she reads without distortion She carries with her memories , uncharted dreams , pain and the little she knows about life. Though from a wealthy family , the cream dela cream of the neighborhood Maniacal for the past 25 years caused by the never ending feuds of her family Well vast and educated her mind is oblivious of today's world As a ritual she walks past what used to be creme dela creme of her family properties , abandoned alone in her own little world In the evening she returns to what she used to call paradise, empire family life, In reality a six bed roomed mansion stands in ruins , she shares it with rodents that she calls family tightly held to her chest is a teddy bare that she calls molly , her only friend , once in a while good Samaritans pass by with food and clothing , Not even the neighbors the so called amigos pass by to help her , molly is the only confidant she has. Like Déjà Vu the cycle continues never to relent her world is plundered and my heart is in dismayed of what society has become.
