Duplicitous Cravings
She love herself a slice of lie, with a cup of confusion early in the morning It gets her day started off royally right She loves to hear something went wrong, and the job just done was all messed up Screaming on the phone is music to her ears Neighbors arguing makes her want to sing along with that Bill Withers song, “A Lovely Day” Or maybe Billy Holiday, “Good Morning Heartache” Duplicitous cravings Some would say that’s what she got Bizarre stark ravings get her motor going, revved up to meet the rage She loves watching alligator wrestling in a cage On summer nights when heat sets a lot of friction in motion People getting mad ... wanna do the knuckle tango Bloodying noses, ripping off clothes ... doing the knee buckle dance Lot of teeth flying, there might even be a chance of someone dying She would love to see that so much Duplicitous cravings Sickness is gonna descend on her if she don’t get her daily dose Addicted to seeing others suffer pain — emotional, physical and mental Her heart rejoice witnessing any cancerous strain afflicting another human being Oh, what she wouldn’t give to get another taste of that delicious hurt And at night in bed ... well, you get the picture Enough said
