And every time you read it through, You’ll always learn something that’s new. The Bible gives us a true look; No error is there in this book. The Bible is God’s holy word; Read it and from Him you’ve heard. The Bible could be all denied By man’s philosophy or pride, That would not change God’s word one bit; He’ll still fulfill each word of it. Its words will come to pass for sure; Forever more it will endure. The Bible tells us of our sin And tells how all that did begin. The Bible tells us we can be Cleansed from all iniquity. The Bible tells us of God’s Son, The pure and only sinless one, And how He died on Calvary For sin and shame to set us free, And how He rose up from the grave To guarantee we could be saved. The Bible tells us of a hell, And tells of heaven’s joys as well. The Bible’s stood through many a morn, The testings, ridicule, and scorn, And like a magnet still attracts Even the skeptics by its facts. Each prophecy the ancients wrote Was fulfilled exactly as it they spoke. And still what is for future days Will happen as the Bible says. The Holy Spirit guided men As each one wrote with his own pen, And yet, though many years went past Between the first book and the last, Ne’er once one contradicting word Was from each writer ever heard. Then God said, “That is it, it’s done, The words are written every one. Now do not add nor take away Nor change a thing I’ve had to say.” Today it seems so very strange That men are trying to rearrange And offer versions, variations, To God’s final revelation. But God said what He meant to say; He could not say it other ways. And I believe His word will be What judges men for eternity. It will be that one great, great book That God will some day use to look To judge mankind from His white throne There up in His vast golden home. So be careful how you treat this book And how you read it when you look. For when you stand, its author view, It will be there what judges you.
