Running Back To You
Life for me had been a long journey Been to many odd places Met people of different class and faces Learned and discovered things which are new to me Can hardly believe that I could come this far To a place where nobody would dare go Did some things which nobody would dare do Just to woke up each day feeling more restless and empty I tried to reach for the sky only to live in pain I never did 'coz I never gave my best I didn't succeed though atleast I've tried I fumble and fall, still I stood up only to stumble again I've talked the talk and walked the walk Went through life's hardships searching for myself I looked for answers where I don't even know the questions Thought of giving up but I continued to search How I wanna break-free and do what i want To live a life without complication and difficulty To live in happiness, satisfaction and simplicity But nothing has changed, I didn't grow up. I am still me "I was lost before yet I am still here," just as I realized this the sun showed up it erased all my worries and fears I found a trail which head towards a bright light I'm home again, I ran fast with all my might Fate has been good, it showed me the way And this one thing I've learned so true I shall say Wherever life leads and take me Whatever happens to my long endless journey I'll always come back and will always end up Running back to you... ~Chrisna Vergara
