Our Fated Drive
Just the night and I Just your fated drive See them passing by Feeling so alive This desire, I cannot control. It's a night like many nights. I want to darken both these holes. My urge is to dim the lights. I look upon them as they pass. The caring observer I find. I individualize the speeding mass. The one whose brights light, not to blind. Just the night and I Just your fated drive See them passing by Feeling so alive This fate, this one does not deserve. Longing just to help, for my lights have failed. Yet, without hesitance, I quickly swerve. Come up behind; I prey onto their tail. My crimson truck beats savagely into your fender. Fear and confusion, I recall how you must feel. Off the overpass, so powerless, I've rendered. This cruel horror must truly seem surreal. Just the night and I Just your fated drive See them passing by Feeling so alive Entranced, I almost fell off the highway, too. I accelerate at unknown speeds to flee. In the distance, I hear sirens, screams for you. I'll park, walk back. My creation, I must see. So many tears of strangers you never knew. The paramedics attempt to pull you from the car. All say the same, "This tragedy- who could do? The evil perpetrator couldn't have gotten far." Just the night and I Just your fated drive See them passing by Feeling so alive
