Always Pleasing Him
ALWAYS PLEASING HIM We have a goal that’s lofty: to keep our lives from sin, To walk with Jesus daily and be always pleasing Him. When He was here He told us, “The things that I do here Are always pleasing to Him, so I need never fear.” And though Christ was so different, for sinless was He then, We in our human bodies can still strive to be like Him. We may not e’er be sinless, but blameless we can be And be so much like Jesus that others soon will see. Our lives should be much different than others all around Who still live in sin’s pleasures and salvation have not found. If we will seek Him daily through Scriptures and through prayer, He’ll help us in our efforts as we try to please Him there. The goal is high and lofty, but it’s worth striving for So that we’ll have no shamefulness whene’er we face the Lord. We’ll hear His, “Well done, servant,” and enter in that place To praise His name forever for His redeeming grace.
