This Love
My body is in such a knot, My legs feel paralyzed. I'm stuck here with this feeling of Numbness, feeling like a poorly wired circuit Your eyes make me feel secure and when you hold me ,it feels like I'm home Funny how a person can bring such comfort This intimacy my love,is it real? Do we both feel this intense connection My mom never warned me of the dangers of falling in love. How it leaves you so heedless and numb. As I feel the hot tears streaming down my face I feel my body tensing up after hearing you say "I love you " with such an impassive tone But no matter how deadly this routine is,i'll always be stuck. Hanging on to this feeling I believe is love But is this really love? How you treat me? This "love" you seem to give me As if touching my body was the immediate key to forgiveness The thought of this puts me in raging frustration I start pulling my hair and picking my skin You ask me what's wrong and in my head I say "it's you" But I sit there in silence I then start suffocating on your sweet words And again back in the same place with the same feeling of paralyzation T.H
